ODIN at 9:1........... You are being way to kind!!!

Maybe 90 :1

We have no experience, no talent, but there won't be a more gratefull and happier group of guys fishing that day. The bright light you will see is not the sun reflecting off the aluminum boat.......It's our smiles

And there is talk from the would-be title sponsor (Striper) that if a team wins in a Striper boat they might just double the prize money...once these details are confirmed we'll pass them along.

Bob, break out the trophy and put striper decals on it. They might be fooled. Hey you might want to buy a tender to pull the overflow tuna to the dock.

Yeh, what in the world 1s 7-5???

I'm bout the only one I know that goes to Vegas and drops
$100 on Piagow Poker in 5 minutes and still doesn't have a clue on how the games played.

I do know that if the ocean agrees and we can fish live bait and we have 6 fisherman and lot's of room for fish
and lots of room for fisherman- --If we can only pull jigs, all bets are off.

Hey Tracker I think if we get to fish live bait our odds should go down. I've got 2 30gal live wells on my boat.
and if we don't I'll just fill them with tuna
when the fish boxes and coolers are full.

The cabin works really well also as an auxillary fish box. Although I think I would suggest taking the chusions out before the trip and an application of a fabric protector on the ceiling carpet. Seems blood really flies around when you are tossing bags of ice and large mostly dead tuna down there. Also best not to mention this to the wife. She does not fancy sharing the same space as dead tuna! Go figure!

Just finalizing crewing before the 100:1 entry for 5-Salt Fever. (AKA: Team "Those boys would die of starvation if they had tuna tied to their back-side")

I like to think of myself as the "blind-horse" entry on your race program. Even a blind-horse will find a little grass if you kick him long enough.

5 salt, I know part of your crew, and all I have to say is, my only bad days fishing was with him on board could have been several things making those days bad, but after reviewing all the data all winter I have concluded it was him I think you may be closer to 200:1 unless you do a crew swap

Roy, I don't think Bud has factored in the propensity of Aces & Eights to drive over fish.

I hope there will be some "awards" to be handed out. Any guesses as to who will get longest distance traveled with fewest fish?

In defence of and a show of un-dying support for my crew member...his "reported" effect on those experienced operations will no doubt have a reverse effect on that of the lessor experience operator there by lowering our odds back down to the 100:1 range.

And yes we definately could use a smack-talk post to it own.

This is getting fun.

I'm going to push for a fish per fisherman metric at the next meeting. Not the absolute number of fish. We need to level the playing field.

Dean you are just gouing to have to get a bigger boat so you can hold more fish. Maybe you can rig a trailer behind you so as to carry more fish. It could also act as one of BOE's debris fields till you needed it to haul your fish.

Okay these odds thingys just ain't right. Odin at 25:1 and Team Wahoo! at 50:1? Now my sides are really hurting. He must be going to drag a net or something because the guy can barely find salmon let alone tuna.

Of course his last name is Staklie which is Scandinavian for stacking but I think it relates to firewood not tuna.

Hey Bud are they going to have live bait available at
all or any of these events. One way or the other we'll
bring tuna home. May help to increase the numbers with
live bait.

Astoria will have live bait.

You will have to poach some from Tracker in Newport and Garibaldi...there is no set plan for either of these.

The question is, how do you get down to Newport the day
before and keep it alive for the next days fishing. It would
take one heck of a tank in the back of the truck and it
would have to be aerated. Me thinks me has some planning to do.

Beer waggon will be DQ'ed for breaking a rule

Myrtle B is a professional tournament fisherman, with a "posse" that follows him around, I think the odds just went up on the rest of us.

This EdWinger is rounding up a crew, but I can't do all three events. When you guys sail outta Gary's Baldy, me and DipSea Diver will be winging our way to Ireland. I'll lift a Guiness to your success!
