Re: A good Salmon River
Hey trout, see my post titled "Puget Sound Fishing Report" - it is copied and pasted from the Tacoma Newspaper and has area rivers. I personally like the Barrier Dam on the Cowlitz River because you can only catch-and-release the Kings there for now. The crowd isn't bad because of the release law, plus the silvers haven't really shown up yet, but you better jump on this because the silvers will be here in another week or two, and the number of fishermen will increase by the day. Come down there, look for the guy in the green goretex cowboy hat, and I will help you out any way I can. Corky and yarn with a 4 foot leader, or eggs seem to be effective, although last Sunday the bite was really slow in the afternoon. I may or may not be down there, but if I am, don't be a stranger and introduce yourself. Best advice I can give is watch the other fishermen to kinda get a feel for what they may be biting, plus drift techniques.
ARE ALL FISHERMEN LIARS, OR DO ALL LIARS FISH?
