Default GPSMap 168 Question

Anyone have a Garmin GPSmap 168 and MapSource software? I can upload my maps to the GPS, but it doesn't like my waypoints or routes. I keep getting an unsupported format error. Any clues about what I may be doing wrong?

Anyone have a copy of BlueChart Americas they're not using any more?

Thanks,

CrF

I don't have a GPSmap 168 but I do have MapSource for my GPS76S.
Not sure but,
1) Is the 2.5 MB of memory on your Garmin GPSmap 168 full?
2)Are you sure that when you opened the MapSource "Transfer", "Send to Device" window you checked to send "Waypoints" and "Routes" on the "What to Send" portion of that new "Send to Device" window?
3) You may want to download transfer ("Receive from Device") all your GPSmap 168 Data to your computer to clear up your 2.5 MB of GPSmap Memory and save that downloaded transfered data as a Backup in a MapSource File anyway. Be aware however, this "Transfer" "Receive from Device" download process may transfer AND delete factory installed maps and data. Then on your computer, set up a new MapSource File which displays only ONE Map with ALL of your Waypoints AND ALL of your Routes, and Transfer that up into your GPSmap 168 again. You will probly need to stay within the 2.5 MB of GPSmap Data memory or get more memory.
Good luck, let us know what works for ya

Yup - I updated and now it works perfectly. I knew I had plenty of memory left. So, I updated the firmware in the unit and the software itself. Thanks!
