thats very interesting. I have heard they do a similar version of this when fishing the long range trips out of San diego. Ive never heard of it from shore though.

very interesting. i have lots of kites, mostly stunt type but a few large delta style kites. i would like to try this somtime but the wind in oregon is usualy blowing in.
om kinda a cool side note.
a buddy of mine would stack up six 8' stunt kites then dive them into a lake. after they submergtd he would walk backwards using the water as air and move the kites 20' or so. then you would see the tips of the kites emerge from the water...and batabing back into the air.
