Default Kilchis slide, slid again?

The Kilchis is spewing mud like you would not believe. The Wilson, however, is fairly clear, still.

This is so yucky. :depressed:

Flood predicted by Thursday.

All year we have had such wonderful escapement conditions on all the coastal rivers. The water never got too low, not too high.

I hope that this flood does not damage the rosy outlook for this year's hatch.

Hi Jennie, I was just wondering...has your house or property ever been affected by floods or are you safe? I heard on the radio that the rivers could flood really bad this time. It would take me about 1 1/2 hours to get there, but I would help you if you ever needed it.
Please be safe,
Mike

That is awfully nice.
Our house has never even come close, but you never know.

I worry about others on the Wilson, etc.

It would be great to get a team of ifishers to help some of the farmers and other people around here, though. I plan on trying to help next time, should anyone need it. I can't really toss sandbags, but I can babysit, or do something for families that doesn't require physical exertion.

Thank you again for the kind thought.

Jen

Trust me, the rivwers are muddy now, I just took a look. Can any one stop the rain? It is really coming down, but then that is what makes this vally so green and full of fish.

Wanna fight about it, Jer?

This morning the Kilchis was muddy first! NANANANANANNNNNNNNAAAAAAAAAAAANAAAAAAAAA!

Just got back from town. Now both are dirty.

Three inches of rain will do that to a river!

Things might get nasty with all this rain. Wife and I drove to Lincoln City yesterday and there are one whale of a lot of trees down from Grand Rhonde to Lincon City. Especially along the highway. You can see where many of them are already starting to slide down as well as the hillsides. I don't know about highway 6 but if it is the same way, three inches of rain will do more then blow out a couple rivers. I would sure hate to have to drive south or north to get a road in. Floods are bad enough, but slides can be weeks in clearing.

Look at the station, Quick! Before it clears at 6:00!

3.50 inches, and windy right now, according to my gage. It hasn't uploaded in the last hour.

I stoped by the Guide Shop this morning. The Little North Fork of the Wilson is even muddier than the Kilchis. It has been doing this for several months, when it rains. Does anyone have any information on what's causing this?
