Crabbing?

How is the crabbing now? I had crab and artichoke dip at McGrath's Fish House the other day and I want to go out for crab tomorrow. Anyone know where the best place to go is? I was thinking Netarts but I don't kow how they are doing. Any help would be appreciated.

Went off the docks at Garibaldi a week ago Saturday and caught three within 2 hours. Had six nets/traps out. Right at high tide to about an hour or so after. Tyler

Took some scouts to Garibaldi last Thursday and Friday. We did OK getting 33 legal crab on Thursday, got limits of cockles on Friday morning and then picked up 19 crab on Friday. We would have gotten more crab, but my back anchor didn't hold Thursday night and my boat ended up high and dry Friday morning. The boys learned how the Egyptians moved all of those big stones as we used logs to roll the boat down to the water after we got done clamming. A fun day for all, especially stopping at the Cheese factory afterwards.

One of the guys brought 25 lbs of chicken livers, but we didn't catch any crab until I started putting real chicken pieces in the traps. I told him that cheapest isn't always the best! We did catch a lot of females and got some real nice males - very large - just like last fall.
