Default Any ifish Lacrosse players out there?

Any ifishers pick up the pads and sticks in the spring? I played middie for a couple of years, but found my true calling with the long stick of defense. I played long enough ago that I can literally say that I put the wood shampoo (Hickory) to many an attackers body parts.

Now that it's April, I think back about playing in high school, college and on club teams. The Parks and Rec Department in Bend started a new developmental league last year and it was amazingly successful. There are club teams at each of the high schools in Bend (3), Sisters and Redmond. More than 40 kids (many of whom have never played before) are signed up at each of the high schools. There's a couple of womens teams as well.

Anybody know which weekend the PNLA Tournament is?

My neice is on the High School team in Lake Oswego and she's really good!

I played a year of it in college as a middie. Fun game once you learn that if you're going to drive it in for a shot, you better be extra certain you're not about to be blindsided. D'oh!

CT,
Back side slides on driving middies are something that the defense lives for! The middie can make you look like a fool if they can get the ball dumped off, but the price was usually pretty steep.

Love that game. Glad to see it gaining in popularity.
