Default Gobblers Beware!

Only 12 more days, and I am already developing a twitch .

I love this time of year! Wild flowers will be blooming, sun really starts to come out, days are getting longer.

Dragging the bow out this year. I have taken several turkeys with a shotgun, and this year if I get a tom early in the season I want to take on the rest of the year bow and arrow style.

You guys got the fever yet?

I am going after spring bear for the first time this year, and cannot seem to get bears off my mind.

Truthfully I am not really all that excited about turkeys this year. I have had pretty consistent success with my bow the last few years, and have permission on a great piece of property so I know we should have some shots come the 15th.
The morning of the 15th I am shure that will all change, I will be all uncontrollable giddy bouncing around like a little girl. That first gobble of the morning always gets me like that.

The fever never left. I am sickly addicted to hunting turkeys and can't wait to get my bow in the woods. I am looking forward to utilizing a blind this year and wondering how much of a difference, *** or neg it will make. I don't like being anchored, but patience has paid off huge for me in the past, I can't wait until the pre-dawn silence is broken by the king of spring............

I have two son's aged 13 and 17 I hope to get into birds this weekend. Looks like the weather won't be too bad!?

I might not even start hunting myself until the end of the month when the hunting pressure thins out. But then again I'll most likely be out there on the 15th
