Default wounded quickfish

RT posted a technique for painting a quickfish to look like a wounded baitfish several months ago. I got a couple new quickfish and was about to paint them when I modified his idea a little. Rather than paint the quickfish I put flashy prism tape on it. I have done this to flat surfaces (wobblers etc.) but never an item shaped like a quickfish. I placed a dark blue prism down 1 side and a flashy silver down the other side. Looks like a herring on its side. It took several relief cuts to get the tape to wrap around the curved shape and lay flat. The flash on these quickfish are incredible. The prism tapes are so reflective and 3D irradesent (sp). The prototype wont get wet until the 23rd (BBQ day), I am really looking forward to seeing this in the water.

I had another older quickfish that I didnt like the color on. The tape solved that problem. Michael Angelo couldn't paint the sparkle these quickfish have.

Thanks 'Eggs. Good idea. - He makes a nice homemade Delta-like diver with those tape colors too; with your initials molded in the lead weight. Cool! - RT
