Default Fuel Flow Meters--Help

I've given up on trying to adjust my fuel tank gauge float on my boat tank. I never am really quite sure of the tank level, but will judge fuel consumption by trial and error------Haven't run out, just Not good! Anyway, ran across a possible solution to the problem. Seem's the installation of a fuel flow rate meter w/fuel rate totalizer just might be the ticket! One manufacturer even claims you can recoup the cost, by adjusting engine rpm and trim to minimize Gallons Per Hour used. Makes sence.
Has anyone had any experience with one of these in an outboard motor application? Thanks in advance for any response!

Lots of guys use them out in the salt, especially the tuna hunters who are going a long way out and need to know where they stand, fuel-wise, all the time.

Go to the Salty Dogs forum and do a search on "flow meters." That should pull up lots of good information. And, yes, they use them with outboards as well as inboards.
