Glass Boat and Kicker Bracket

Not quite "poetry and power tools," but close. I'm wondering if you have a swim step - well, platform, acros the entire stearn of a boat over teh outdrive, where would be a good place to mount a kicker bracket? Directly to the swin step? Or ???

I'm asking here because I know alot of folks on the salty board have big plastic boats.... :grin:

I just bought a plain old Gerbrock spring load kicker bracker and bolted it through the hull. I have a teak swim deck so I just cut a section out of the way and it works great. Of course that would not work well if you have a glass swim step.

As long as its strong enough to hold it (should be) and as long as you can reach it without having to crawl out of the boat, it should be fine.

You will probably want to mount it on either side of the outdrive and not in the center right over it.
