Default Nehalem Bay

Want to fish the bay in Monday. Can anyone tell me how they are doing down there? Sure would like to pin a fish this year. Thanks. Like to hear form you guys. I have a 16 ft Smokercraft Stilleto Yamaha power. I run on CB channel 14. Give me a holler when you see me. Glad to swap info.

My boys and I fished last Monday ( Labor Day) down there. On the water before light, fished until 2, saw two fish boated. Probably a hundred or so boats from jaws to Nehalem. Took a striping and 2 hard hits just south of Kahrs dock about 5 hours into the ebb ( 1;30 pm, in shallow water, 12 feet).

Still waiting for that day when the water rolls with rolling Chinook and you hook up good. I'd go even if the fishing is great.

I fished it yesterday and took my only skunk this year out of 4 trips there. I fished above 101 until about 2:00PM. I only saw one fish boated (by Clancy) however, he had 3, biggest one 18#

Fished Nehalem today, sunday,.....had four hard takedowns with two fish hooked. All long distance release. Clancy caught three but said he had to work for them. I know what your want the best bite occurred at the jaws but even that was slow. 17 boats at the most. Talked with several buddies who fished nehalem and wheeler and said only a couple were caught. Most fish scooted with the last rain and we are still waiting for the fall fish.
