There should be fish stacked up the lower river. The hatchery is up a ways in the system and they don't get many fish early in the season before the good fall rains hit. The number of fish at the hatchery at this time may not be a good indication of fish in the river. Try contacting the Vancouver office of WDFW.

Does anyone know if Oregonians need a non-resident license to fish the slough at the papermill in Camas? I know that I have to have an Oregon non-resident license for the Willamette and Sandy entrances.
