Default chinook landing report

For what its worth I hit chinook landing again today for about 3hours with one takedown and one fish landed, overall it seemed slow (nothing new).I have been hearing rumors that they have been doing fairly decent somewhere below the mouth of the Lewis, has anyone fished there lately?
I am heading out again tomorrow afternoon and any info would be appreciated.

TIGHT LINES!

Hunter: Slutgoddess and I headed out to the picket fence area, a mile or so, below the mouth of the Lewis at about 4 pm. Many many boats out there. We saw a few small fish caught from where we were and heard of a few from the guys we anchored next to.

I got a jack near the end of tide which was about 7:30pm

Hope this helps.

Lewis Kalama Cowlitz Trends...The lower Columbia appears to have slowed down over the past week and a half. Hot days are far in between. Wednesday was good across from Columbia city, but the fish are generally smaller and those big beautiful upriver brights are fading away. Seeing about 10 fish a day out of Kalama at Dolphin 43, which is really weak considering the number of rods and the time of year. The Cowlitz zoo continues but the catch ratio remains weak. In general, even these late fish seem to be traveling well into the channel between the 42' and 48' foot mark. Its not much fun to dump 16 ounces of lead to catch 12 pound kings. Might be time to cuddle up to the coldwater mouths and start pitching spinners for that bonus run of coho. 1 ounce and a 8 pound silver is a kick ! Good Luck...Hook 'em up !!!

Finally a good report from me! I hit Kalama this morning and went four for four. That puts my boat at about 1 for every six takedowns landed. Nothing overly big but I'm not complaining. 28#,24#,18#,12#. All four fish still had sea lice, good to see the run going strong. All four fish hit the two tone Alvins. Going again tomorrow morning, good luck to all!

Nice Job Hunter! Its good to hear some strong fish coming through. I better get my Alvin box and head a little further downstream.
