Caught him!
A letter from the Oak Harbor PD:
(regarding one of our board offenders)
The subject involved in this has been identified, ( using different names),
as a juvenile. The detective assigned to this case has spoken to the
juvenile and the parents. Since no crime has been committed no charges can
be filed. However, the detective feels that the parents will take the
appropriate parental discipline regarding this incident. If there is any
other information that you may need reqarding this, please feel free to
contact me directly. Thanks.

I thought this topic was going to be about a big chinooky from Tillamook Bay

Re: Caught him!
That's an easy one Giz. It was, let me see Buzzbomber, Joefisherman, Lureman, I could go on and on. He's had so many I lost track. Glad to see that the good gal's win one once in a while!!!
Good luck and tight lines, Jeff

Re: Caught him!
Congrats Jen,
In my boat we have a tradition, who catches the fish gets to use the fish whacker. Will Oak Harbor PD hold him in the net while you put it between his eyes real hard?

Re: Caught him!
You NEXT assignment this fall Jen is to run off the "belly rippers" with no bait, on
the bottom, pulling the trigger on anything that moves, in Trask tidewater.
If I was granted just one wish by the
Fish Gods it would be Bobber only fishing
in this area!! Oh well, too old to be
"Sheriff" anymore. The coolest thing
I ever saw though was the COPs staying
overnight in the two bit hole next to
me, undercover, and watching it all
happen (you know the drill, fish on,
fish off, fish on, fish off, fish on,
fish off.....) for an entire morning,
then four blue suits SWOOPED down the
bank on the other side and nailed them
all. Was better than "bobber downs" all
day! Nothing like watching that baby
disappear and the battle at close quarters.
Fall is near.....

Re: Caught him!
******, I'm with you on that one. A cell phone in the boat with the "poacher hotline" programmed in might help.

Re: Caught him!
It is great to have been able to track down the problem. Though the thing that unnerves me is the fact that a juvenile was able to disrupt a BB that easily. A pro could come in and pretty much cause complete havoc without ever leaving a trace. My ex-brother-in-law had it happen to his web page! All of his confidential material available to those with passwords was infiltrated and corrupted, even with the best web security available. I suspect we will not see the end to web crimes small or large.

Re: Caught him!
Good job Jen (aka "the other board N." )
Would you like to publicly let us know which one you caught? I think their moniker should be displayed so if they reapprear on another board that users frequent, that board operater can be notified reducing the places they can do their destructive thing.

Re: Caught him!
I got out my detective kit that I bought in the comic books.
With plastic magnifying glass in hand, I looked up and logged all IP addresses, worked together with Yahoo, hotmail, the Oak Harbor PD, the persons internet provider, and pretty soon.... Wallah! Nailed him!
Will do the same for anyone else using profane language or otherwise staying up past their bedtime and causing trouble.
Jen

Re: Caught him!
I am sure you are a wonderful cook. We will ALL be by for some salmon on the BBQ. See recent thread with a few new recipes, any will do. You can brag all day about catching and cooking, while we are eating. Hows 6'ish sound?
