Default Riddle me this: home electrial update

On a tip from a fellow Ifisher , I called PGE for a service call. Considering it was already 8:30 on a Friday night, I was hesitant, but his PM said they work 24/7 so I gave it a shot.

Within an hour and a half, a very nice fella was up on my roof reconnecting my mains (you gotta respect a man who can do the entire job holding a flashlight on his shoulder with his chin) and left me with a couple of quite melty looking souvenirs. Time will tell but he seemed confident that this would fix my problem. I could not imagine being happier with the service I received. I hope that it fixes my problem, but even if it doesn't I'm thoroughly impressed nonetheless.

It's rare to receive such great service these days and I'll be spending some time trying to get these folks the credit they deserve.

The electrician just came by to have a look at my issue. When I showed him the old junctions that PGE had removed, he immediately said, "your problem is fixed" and explained how the problem at the main could affect my internal wiring so bizarrely. I had him have a quick look at my panel about something else as well. As he was leaving, I asked what I owed him and he said, "just remember me next time". A free trip out by an electrician on a Saturday morning??? You bet I'll remember him next time! If anyone needs a great electrician in the Gresham area, PM me and I'll give you his info.

Amp,
I am glad it all worked out for you. I did not want to walk you through trouble shooting this problem because I do not know your experience with electricity and it can reach out and get you if you do something wrong.
