Default Gov to hold summit on ocean salmon 3/28 9am

The report states that he will be holding an open summit at the Capitol building at 9am in hearing room 50 to have conversation concerning the proposed closure/shortening of the ocean salmon season. I got this from KGW web site.

More info available on the kgw site:

I couldn't find anything on the govenors site. This should be good for the commercial fishermen and may be good for the fish since it will draw attention to the problem. Maybe this will help built momentum for doing something to solve the problems, at least get started on solving it>

This should be interesting...

Isn't this the same guy who prompted the NMS, that will cripple Ore. in ways yet to be determined. As stated earlier...NMS's domain lies far inland, to cover city run off, logging, farming, etc. everything that effects a river that flows to the sea. Also preventing future industry(from our ocean waters.Even though 100% enviromentally safe.
We don't need to fish....we just need more casinos.

This is going to be fun to watch....

It's politics, he's jumping on the bandwagon since there has been some publicity on the devestating effects of the fishing closures. But it could still be to the advantage of our cause in terms of raising public awareness that the problem isn't a result of fishing.
