Default Mouth of the Cowlitz

I fished the entire outgoing tide today at the mouth of the cowlitz with only two takedowns to show for my efforts. Overall the bite was pretty slow. Does anyone have any reports from Chinook Landing or Frenchmans bar?

It was equally as bad off the mouth of the Sandy. I only saw two fish on the whole day. The biologist said he'd counted 12 fish for 75 boats around 3 pm.

I wouldn't have thought the weather wouldn't have had such a negative effect, but that's fishing.

Fished 10 till 6 at Frenchmans yesterday...2 takedowns and 1 15# Nook. Saw only 6 or 7 others caught for a lot of boats.
Today at The east end of Gov't Island saw 3 or poss 4 fish landed watching lines from well above me to way below the line I was in.
Anyone got any good news...Please post it and the entire board will meet you at the ramp early on Monday!

Bill

I dunno nuthin. I think I'm in good company. 6000-7000 fish a day are going over the dam, but I can't even find em on my fish finder. My two trips last week I ended the day with an hour or roaming around looking for fish. Nothing at 40 to 50 feet. Nothing in 15-25 feet. Nothing in the deep channels. Is it possible that the same 6000 fish are going up the ladder and down through the locks every day? This fishery is getting darned frustrating!

I went to chinook landing on sunday for about four hours, one strike and one 18# chinook, however there were only four takedowns in the entire hogline. I marked plenty of fish the whole time, we were fishing in 34 feet of water. This years fish are just plain hard to figure!!
