Default chinook landing

is there any bank access for chinooks or steelhead at or near chinook landing?

I haven't fished from the shore there, but people in boats are fishing pretty close in so it seems like there should be decent fishing from the bank just upriver of Chinook Landing. Seems like it would better access than the mouth of the Sandy which involves a long walk and wading deep.

Don't ask me how they get there, but I see guys that have hiked out to the Sandy delta. They are throwing spinners and they even catch a fish now-and-again. I suspect they are coming in from behind the old Reynolds plant. Through blackberries, lions, tigers and bears... OH MY!
