Default salmon/steelhead

hey I was wondering where a good place is for bank fishing for salmon (and/or) steelhead. can you please give me any info on how to rig up (lures!) and a description of where to go, with good directions.

Hi Adam. Your Q's are such that they would take a huge amount of space to answer. I suggest that you use our search feature to find former post subjects that already have answered your Q's. I also suggest going to a good tackle shop and have the knowledgable people there show you how to rig and what you need to buy. They can also give you good tips on where to fish for them near where you'd like to. Since you live just south of Portland, I suggest you go over to the Oregon City Shopping Center store of Fishermen's Marine Supply for tips and tackle, and fish the upper Clackamas River for summer steelhead and the lower river for coho salmon. After you learn the basics, feel free to ask more specific Q's anytime. Thanks for your interest Adam. - RT
