Default Glass offshore bracket

Just got my April edition of Go Boating magazine.

It had a several page article where they extended the transom on an old glass boat. What was interesting to me was they built it out of wood - filled with foam then finished it with fiberglass. Looked like a nice winter project.

I saw that too, Dale. It looks like a good option if your handy with that sort of stuff. It has me re-thinking my power options on my project.

With the slightly used outboards for sale in the classifieds Woody It sounds like a great option and would give u a lot more room for fish storage.

Gee, was my post THAT obvious Woody?

Seriously, had not seen an offshore bracket made that way.... but must admit I did immediately think you your project Woody...

it'd only be a little more glass & wood... and you've got the stringers all ready to connect.

Probably a good thing the Amy Marie is in the shop right now, otherwise I'd be out there making some plans.
