Goin fishin, need info...

Hey,

I'm goin' fishin' and I'll be takin my boat.

I have a 18' Seaswirl and I am interested in crabbing and fishing Depoe Bay and/or Newport.

Anyone have info or sugestions? I haven't had my boat out in the ocean and won't attempt it unless conditions are favorable.

I would like to fish for kings or bottom fish.

I live right on the beach and the nw wind has the ocean pushed out of shape for now. There will be us chinooks in the river in the next couple of weeks, and there are bottom fishing and you can see the boats scattered all over the reefs just south of the bar, they have been doing so so. The crabbing has been good in the bay....Go for it

I was hoping for more specifics. I have taken charters from Depoe Bay but have never been out there in my boat.

What about Newport?

I haven't been out there at all.

Any information posted would be appreciated.
