Default Buoy 10....One last report please?????

Hey all,

Going to fish buoy 10 on Sunday for the last day of chinook fishing. Anyone fish it today (Saturday)? Also, were the crowds any worse than usual at the launch? For better or worse, we'll be launching at Chinook and I'm trying to gauge how early to get there. With this the last weekend for kings, I've heard that boat traffic at the launch and on the water is pretty intense.

Any confirmations and info. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

N
I just got a cell phone call (3:45pm) from my brother-in-law who is fishing around the 101 bridge. They have 2 in the boat right now. 1 chinook and 1 coho. Sounds pretty good, we'll be there Monday....no mo Nooks

At least 1000 boats between bouy 10 and the bridge. Fish were scattered but some could be had with patience. We got 6 on our boat with two of those being native coho that had to be released plus a 25 lbs Chinook. I had a shaker and two take downs but went home empty handed. If you fish it be prepared for a massive amount of boat and hard work to get the fish. We fished the typical herring setup at about 18-20 pulls. All the fish we got were almost straight across from the church or just east of it and at the slack tide. Good luck

I was up friday and had a rough time again. One nice big coho 3 feet from the net and a couple more good hits and thats it. There was a good bite at high slack in the above mentioned area for mostly coho. This chinook quota thing has me puzzled. With our own eyes we witnessed 30 to 40 coho boated and 2 nookers. BTW the launch line at hammond was clear out to the intersection at 6:30 am and they had no fresh anchovies at all... Joe
