Well, Mo, we've used a Fishin' Buddy II for years, because if you jig off a 22 foot boat, it's nice to have that info right in front of your eyes on the back of the boat: salmon? how deep????

Ours worked great for oh, 6 years or so, but this last trip to Chinook, it decided the water was one foot deep and wouldn't budge in that opinion. I doubt it's worth sending in to fix it; but I'm going to call Bottom Line and find out. I'd buy another; we used ours ice fishing too.

KR. I had a FB 1 that had problems. When I called 6 mos. or so, ago, there policy was a flat fee for a replacement. The fee for the 1 was about $95 as I recall. They glue the two shells together around the unit and said they don't repair them. If its just the transducer, maybe you can see if someone has a broken unit and buy it and replace the bottom half. May have to cut and resolder the wires.
