Very nice pics. Are those digitals or are they the "old school" way of shooting. Good eye at any rate.

The EXIF data on the pictures says they were taken with a Canon EOS 5D. That's a VERY high end digital SLR.

SLR, digital or analog, only way to go! Very nice pics. I went from a slr to a digital (non slr). Digital is nice for posting pics on the internet, thats about it. I just dont have a spare thousand dollars for nice DSLR set up. Cant wait for the price to come down a bit more.

Cool pics!!! would be nice to see them bigger, I love seeing nice pics.

Grumpy,
You can get non-slr digital cameras that have most of the same features of an slr but without the lens options. Get a good quality 5+ megapixel prosumer camera and it will rival or beat any 35mm out there.

I've got an Olympus 5050, paid about $800 for it about 3-4 years ago now, but still love it. Was recently thinking of upgrading but don't really care for any of the prosumer models out there right now (they're good but IMO not worth uprgrading at the present time) and didn't feel like spending a couple grand on an slr and lenses.

Sorry I didn't see that this post had popped back up. Yes the camera is a Canon EOS 5D (12.8mp) and the nearly all pics were shot in RAW and later converted to jpg. The lenses are a 28-105 for the birds and nightshot, a 100mm macro for the flower, and a 70-300 zoom for the mountain lion, hummingbird, and giraffes. Most settings were automatic but the 70-300 shots were ramped up to 800 ASA for faster shutter times.

I will post a few other pics tonight since there is interest here. Thanks for the feedback. Doc
