Seahawks,What were they thinking!!!!
I cant believe the Hawks didnt do what it took to get Jurivicious and Manuel back. 2 key elements to there great season. And they are now gone?
I hope they dont lose out on Bernard.
What a mistake.I think they got a serious case of Alexanderitis! Forgot that they have other key players that helped them in their success
They better sign some pretty impressive names to fill the shoes of those guys.
I hope its not the beginning of the end, already.

Re: Seahawks,What were they thinking!!!!
Jurevicious is one of the main reasons they got as far as they did back when all thier recievers were hurt. That guy has more guts in his pinky than Alexander has in his whole body. This stinks...

Re: Seahawks,What were they thinking!!!!
I have full confidence in Ruskull to plug the holes with quality players, he's done it before, he'll do it again. Hawks are a few mil. under the salary cap, I think they'll be fine when everything is said and done. Now if Hutch leaves town I'll be a little worried.

Re: Seahawks,What were they thinking!!!!
The hawks offered JoeJ more then the browns did. Joe chose to finish his career where he always dreamed of playing (where his son is buried, where he grew up, and where his family is). I have to respect a decision like that. I will miss Joe as a hawk. I loved how he stiff armed DBs instead of stepping out of bounds.

"This is where it all started for me," said Jurevicius. "I had opportunities to go to a couple different places. First and foremost, I wanted to become a Cleveland Brown, put on the orange helmet, play in front of Lake Erie and enjoy the feelings.

Re: Seahawks,What were they thinking!!!!
Don't forget that the owner of the Seahawks and the owner of the Blazers are one in the same.
Blazers were once an elite team in the NBA and have progressively taken a step back each year since then. Hate to say it but the Seahawks were at the pinnacle this past year and now Paul Allen will devastate it from here on out.
Look to be in the cellar with in 5 years

Re: Seahawks,What were they thinking!!!!
The only way that would make sense is if PA had become the owner of the Seahawks just before last year. Which is far from the case. Boob Whitsitt had every thing to do with the downfall of both teams. The Blazers are just taking more time to recover from the mess....

well, it was a good run for ya'll. lol. at least you can take solice in the fact you aren't in the AFC anymore. The move to an NFC division a few years back is the only reason you guys could have gotten as far as you did in the first place. who knows..a few more years in a weak NFC division and you guys could see a couple of more playoff runs.

Re: Seahawks,What were they thinking!!!!
I agree with that.Seattles been in a building mode.Paul has been putting out the bucks to put a good team together.
As soon as Whittset was down the road things started getting better.
I hope they do some serious shopping.Sounds like they have some cash to spend.Spend it wisely.
I only caught the tail end of the report.I had no idea the story on Joe,and why he signed with another team.He was definitely my favorite Hawk this year.I hate to see him go.But if thats what makes him happy. And it should.Since its about his family.Good for him.I wish him the best of luck.

Re: Seahawks,What were they thinking!!!!
my point is... you share a division with Arizona, St Louis, and San Francisco. as of now..that about assures you a division winners spot in the playoffs for a few years to come while these teams (49ers and Rams anyway) rebuild. on top of that..you really played no one of consequence save washington, jacksonville, and the giants all year. hence your 13-3 record. (the 3 losses btw were to the only 2 decent teams you faced and one loss to the packers.)
now..if you look at the AFC, they are loaded top to bottom with playoff caliber teams. in fact, many very good teams worthy of playoff spots in the AFC don't get in simply because there isn't enough room for them all. too bad for them, it just raises the bar that much higher in the AFC to be competitive.
this has nothing to do with who won the superbowl. you should be happy that the NFC is such a weak conference and the 'Hawks division is the weakest of them all. heck, you may even go back next year. if you do, be happy you made it again and i'm sure you will all find some other reason to complain why you lost to a superior team. lol.
i would like to add that Edge going to the Cards will make it much more difficult for the Hawks next year as they will have to see him twice in division games. that could hurt. the Cards aren't a great team, but with him in the lineup they could be good enough to play "spoiler" to the Hawks hopes to repeat as NFC champs.

Re: Seahawks,What were they thinking!!!!
With free-agency as it is, it doesn't take much for a team to get the quality players it needs to be successfull. The coach is a huge factor as well as injuries. While Jurevius (sp) and Manuel were huge for Seattle, there will be other talented receivers, and don't forget about Ken Hamlin coming back. Steve Hutchinson will be the most missed if the Vikings offer doesn't get matched be Seattle.

Re: Seahawks,What were they thinking!!!!
Hutch is gone it is a done deal.
EDIT... I take that back. The vikes offered him 49M over 7 years apparently the highest guard offer ever but it's not finalized.

GASP! You mean to tell me you guys are actually over the refs and the steelers???
JO JO is a great reciever, but his nagging injuries are a major concern for what he was asking! I didnt want to let him go from tampa...oh well.

Re: Seahawks,What were they thinking!!!!
Its pro football and money comes first. the hawks will loose alot of big names cause the players made a name for them selfs last year. That being said they retained a good core of guys and will also have a good shot at getting vetrans that want to get to a superbowl for a bargin. Who wouldnt want to play for a winner. Poor paul gets his team to the superbowl for the first time in 30 years and all any one wants to do is knock the guy. Its not like hes blown tons of his own money trying to make a winner in sea town or stump town.
