Default Honda outboard built in fuel management

I have a 2005 honda 150 ("BANJ" model). I understand it has fuel flow sensor built in. Honda sells a digital speedometer gauge that also displays the gph info.

Wondering two things - will I need a new cable harness to plug in one of these digital gauges? Any possibility that this digital data is serial / nmea that could go to my chart plotter?

If you have one of these digital gauges for a honda, what do you think of it?

Just after typing this I had an idea that answered some of my questions. The owner's manual has a wiring diagram that shows two schematics - one for remote w/ analog instruments and another for remote w/ digital instruments.

Looking like I'd have to at least get a different wiring harness, maybe even a different remote control.

I have both of the digital gauges from Honda. My motor is an 06-BF225

You will have to run all new wires to the motor. There were two seperate harnesses to make the fuel management info display on the gauge. I'm not sure which ones though, since I had both gauges installed.

1- wire harness was $100
2. second harnes was $40

But listen, the dang thing is awesome. I used 19.6 gallons my first outting--while breaking in the motor. When I filled back up, the gas pump stopped again at 19.7 gallons. That's pretty darn good! You gotta love the fact the info comes straight from the engines computer....rather a paddle wheel.

Beaverton Marine knows the wiring required.
