Default East Fork Lewis

Is anyone familiar with the area on the East fork called Daybreak Feeders? I think it may have been a pig farm. Years ago it was accessible to the public for a small fee and it was a terrific spot year around for steelhead. It was up the road from Daybreak park. Anyway I heard that it was closed to public access and was wondering if it was true.

HI: The E. Fork is in my back yard. The only take out if you float the lower river, from daybreak bridge, is in La Center. You have to row a few miles (30Mins) to reach the take out once you hit slack water.

The river has changed considerably from when you floated it last. The river has jumped into the old ponds thanks to the removal of the gravel and thanks to the conservation minded pit operators the entire lower river is a mess.

The area has been closed for several years and some few have access by permission.

If you'd like more information, contact me.

Giz...

The other take out/ access at Hamms is also closed. This was the farm up river from the Feeders.
