Default Taking Dog into Canada?

Anybody have experience taking their dog into Canada? How did it go with customs? I've read you just need a letter from your vet stating when the dog was vaccinated and the lot number of the vaccine. Sounds simple enough but real world isn't always so simple.

Yup, that is all you need. Once they see the dog has its vaccines, it is a friendly wave with a "Welcome to Canada."

Enjoy.

Take your own dog food. Once fed my dog Canadian dog food once. That dog became the biggest curling fan I ever saw.

Durn dog taped every match from the Olympics and watches them every day.

Coming home from Canada is a much greater pain than going up. Don't forget to check on what US Customs will require ...

I have done it a couple of times and was never really checked, but I made sure and had the paper work ready. I'm pretty sure you need both the shot record and a certificate of health from your vet. I just stopped by my vets and they printed it up for free.
