Default Chinook Quotas

Anyone know how we're doing on the lower Columbia (below Astoria bridge)fish quotas? The latest #'s show 28% as of July 30. I have a trip planned in 2 weeks and will be really bummed if I miss out. It's sad to let the gill netters go in and slaughter them then cut the sportfisherman off.

Ramstrong,

Good numbers, though they are only for the Oregon side. Add 3294 anglers, 138 Chinook and 1217 coho from Washington and it will be the numbers I got.

Also the commercial caught fish don't come off the 9000 allocated to the b-10 sport fishery.

Thanks Slider for the correction,
I guess 214 fish is still just a drop in the bucket though for 9000 allocated. They're hoping for it to last until Labor Day, I don't think it's going to make it quite that long though. The big question I have is this magic # just for buoy 10 or the the whole lower columbia. If just for B-10, then what is the # for below Bonneville?

From B-10 to the Tongue Point-Rocky point line has a quota of 9000 chinook. From that line up to Bonneville has a 10000 fish quota.

ooops, my original post was for the Ocean. here's the B-10 stats. Buoy 10 Boats: During the week of August 1-6, anglers caught an estimated 76 chinook and 467 coho for 1,741 rods.
The states established a 9,000 fish quota for the Buoy 10 fall chinook fishery. So even though it seems to be picking up now (Jens Post) hopefully we'll get a couple of more weeks out of it.
