B-10 camping, help pleeze!
Heading up to try the B-10 fishery 8/19 - 8/27. My folks are bringing their m-home and have spoken to Obanvista RV park in Ilwaco and Sundowners RV park in Chinook. My Mom will be spending the week there with my son and We know nothing of the area. Is anyone familiar with these parks and this area? Is there anything in the vicinity that will interest a Grandma and an 11 year old? We need to secure a reservation soon so I would be very appreciative of any advice. We have also been told moorage at Ilwaco marina is a safe bet, any thoughts? Thanks for any help from those in the know.
Todd

For grandma and the 11 year old Seaside(15 miles south) is a fun place to visit. Arcades, shops, rides, bumper cars, good restaurants and a nice beach.

Todd,
The Kampers West rv park is the best park I have stayed in in that area. Well kept, clean and great fish cleaning facility. We stay there every time we go to Astoria.

Re: B-10 camping, help pleeze!
AF,
Fort Steven's is a great park with a lot of interesting things to see.
There is a ship wreck, an overlook to the south jetty, miles of bike trails, Coffenberry lake with good fishing and a swimming beach, and an ampatheater with several campgroung activities.. I think they even show movies there.
There are also several historic munition batteries and historic Fort Stevens it's self. This place is great durring Memorial day and labor day when the actually reinact times of old
There are cabins available at the KOA accross the street.
Also check out Sunset beach, great for beach combing or kite flying.
Have a fun break and tight lines.
