Default Nushagak Kings

Hi all ! Good to be back from AK, the Nush was pretty slow on the kings this season. My boat averaged 9-10 fish a day (far cry of the 40-80 fish days of the past couple of years.) Lots of jacks this year so, hopefully better runs coming. The adult fish were good size this year most in the 20 to upper 30's. Big fish in my boat hit the scale at 40# exactly. Can't wait to get into the fall season here! When is the big IFISH BBQ ??? -Marty

Welcome home Marty. Hey, is a 10 fish day doing the "guide sweat" by Nush standards or what? In an e-mail, Nick Amato mentioned he and friends had to "rough it" there this year with only 150 fish between them for a few days. Gee, too bad! Now you'll have to sweat out the slower 2 fish days down here. Amazing what a big part expectations play in fishing enjoyment! - Let's keep on Jen about a big Ifish shindig she's talked about. Maybe the second half of Sept., when more T-Bay Kings are in? - Steve
