Re: Grizzly advice needed!
From what I know, $6,000 is a pretty good price. Will it be coastal or Mt. Griz you will be hunting? The coast ones are far larger. It is the skull that gets you into the book. I have a guide friend in Petersburg that does boat based hunts and they run about $10,000. His bears are huge though. Most Ak Griz. hunts are going to be $8,000-$12,000. Best of luck.

Take enough gun. In my book the .338 Winchester Magnum is a great starting point with .250 gr bullets

Re: Grizzly advice needed!
I also have heard that you are gonna spend as much on a mount as you spend on the hunt if you do a full body.
Let us know what you find out?

Sandman my advice is who ever you go with make sure have a foot race to make sure they are slower in the 20 yard dash than you.

I've always heard this, but they just look like skinned bears to me.

Re: Grizzly advice needed!
I thought 2200 was about the price of a cougar mount, That seems pretty inexpensive for a full body Grizzer.

Re: Grizzly advice needed!
Gottafish spent $3200 on his cat. I'd be darn sure about that price and the quality of the work who was mounting my bear. Something just doesn't seem right about that price.
