does anyone know if the herring have showed up in newport?

Haven't heard anything. I stayed away from the South Beach Area this weekend. I will be going on Wed. I will post something then.

I stood and watched for a while outside the Wine fest & didn't even see anybody trying, but it was Festival weekend.

Looks like a no show this year. ODFW folks have surveyed the bay several times and found only a light spawn in front of the LNG tank. The Commercial folks haven't even bothered gearing up for it. Shoulda been here by now. :depressed:

ok sad to say and hear , i just called south beach and they said nadda as well, looks like the same no show as the smelt.oh well thanks guys
