Hardcore Female Black Lab needed.

My sister and brother inlaw have a beautiful BLM named angus. He is rock solid and a hard charger. You could water ski behind this big boy. My dad had his father, Drake, who was about the best I have seen in the field. We are in need of a hunting, good looking BLF to breed angus with because we all want dogs with his lineage. His grand mother is out of sunny view and he loved the hunt. Please let me know if you have a dog, or anyone who has a quality lab interested in breeding. Thank you very much. Evan. pics below.

Good looking dog but how about his health clearances? Has his hips been certified? Has his eyes been CERFed? Just a thought before you start throwing pups. HT

Top 10 Reasons to Breed Dogs

Thought the house was too orderly.Never did like having a full nights sleep.Wanted my vet to get a new BMW.Thought the furniture looked too nice.Love the sounds of puppies in the morning, noon, afternoon, evening, midnight, pre-dawn, etc.Garden and backyard needed renovations, and didn't want to pay a gardener.Neighbors didn't complain enough.Kids weren't enough of a challenge.If you can train & show one dog why not 10.

FishnFire..Why would you want to even want to read into something that is not there. Is it just to start problems where none exist? I just asked if health clearances were being considered. If that makes you feel that I've been telling you what you should do with your dog than I'm sorry you feel that way. You may not like my breeding practices but all I've done here is give my incite into what I feel is responsible breeding practices. I have in the past, replied to Ifisher's in regards to questions that they had on training and breeding. I've tried to help in all instances and have never made any negative comments towards anyone. Jennies recent thread about not liking what is happening on Ifish has some merit. It's comments like yours that makes individuals not want to post their opinions on a topic. As I stated, you may not like my breeding practices but I assure you that my dogs can stand with any out there. If any Ifishers need any help regarding their labs please feel free to PM me for help as it appears I have offended some with my efforts to help. I'm out...HT

H Time's position on breeding represents acceptable responsible breeding practices followed by both professional and amateur breeders alike.
Good breeding practices promote healthy animals that have good conformation for the breed. I's not a absolute guarantee but you are doing your best.
Don't be a victim, that last trip to the vet is tough.

It's too bad more people don't follow H Time's advice. Then all these clearences would'nt be necessary.

There are plenty of backyard breeders that could care less about making the breed better. Yeah, they're the ones out there that don't have the health clearances. They just want to make a quick buck or don't know any better.

At least with H Time's advice, the "don't know any better" can't be used as an excuse.

I personally would never buy a lab without the eye and hip clearances from both parents or the dog itself (dog needs to be 2 years old to get eyes/hips cleared).

If you don't agree, fine. You've obviously never seen a 4 year old lab with hip displacia or has had genetic eye problems. It's pretty sad.

Now there's a rant.

I just thought someone was going to get slamed again like StikFish and I did because we were going to breed our dogs eventhough the dogs were not regestered. Just like the guy who started this post I was was just looking to breed my very HEALTHY dog, not get scolded for not following someone elses rules. So who is starting trouble?

You shouldn't be scolded at all. My intentions are progressive for the labrador breed. I think H-Time's intentions are for the betterment as well.

I know I'm repeating myself but it just makes good responsible sense to have your dogs eyes and hip clearences prior to breeding (registered or not). You may think your dog is healthy and it may not show any obvious signs of problems. The genetic problem(s) that your dog may carry are not the type you can see until they become a reality unfortunately.

I wish hip/retinal dispacia was not a genetic defect for labs. Through selective breeding, it can be made less of a problem. Education is a must!
