Keep it going Richard. We could also add some clay birds and hand throwers to the party if a suitable place can be found.

What's a chucker?

Can you legally kill them in OR? I've heard of gear chuckers, bait chuckers, fly chuckers etc. but if I'm gonna shoot one I need to make sure I know what I'm after.........

If you guys wanna kill some chukars though, I'm in......

Seriously though, this sounds like fun. Rock doves eh? Great practice.

here is what i can bring for camp.my 17' travel trailer for me and one other, my 16'x20' wall tent, my 12'x14' wall tent, one complete camp kitchen set up with tables and propane bottles. two army cots, floor tarps, one tent wood stove.kitchen setup in the 12x14 allows room for 6 army cots in the 16x20 and one or two in the 12x14. thats sleeping space for 9 or 10 guys.i will have no room to haul firewood, and very limited water. i do have lots of jugs, and 2 55gal water drums.so if someone has no camp stuff, but a truck, they could be waterman. in the campground is a single outhouse.and if the campground is occupied we need to deal with this issue. "very important"

Richard, you'll have to start charging rent if you're going to haul that kind of gear out. Wait, forget I said that - don't want to give you any ideas.

Sounds like camping equipment is covered.
What will be needed is pointn' dogs. I've hunted 3 guns behind my shorthair with consistant success for all---four would be one too many.
Never been a joiner but this one sounds interesting.

It still depends on the date, but more than likely I'm in along with my pointy dog.

Hey Richard, I'll tell everyone the one or two birds I shoot were yours if you can keep Mark from telling me "I just shot a tripple" again. Actually, I'm hitting skeet once a week, and sporting clays when I can... so I have no excuse for missing when I get out there. But I'm sure I will anyway.

Sounds like a lot of pointers out there. That should be cool - never hunted over a pointer, but my labs might not like it if I go hunting with another dog

Richard-
Is the location the same as this years? The last I remember it was still up in the air and open to suggestions. Just curious.

I can bring about a cord of firewood, and maybe water. I don't have a clean drum, though. I kinda suspect most participants have a 5 gal jug or 4 they use regularily, so if everyone brings some we should be ok. Same deal with ice and coolers. Oh--I'll bring more halibut if you promise to cook it--same recipe--YUM! Should also have tuna and salmon available if there is any demand.....

The sanitation issue is important. Does anyone have a privy tent? If need be we can dig a hole downwind of camp, and fill it when we leave. If that's not legal, how about a few port-a-potties?

Chris-your dogs can't be jealous of you hunting with pointers if you just don't tell them!

same place, just will try to get the existing outhouse for the camp.no one ever came up with a different spot, with all the required things we need, like the spot has. i'll gladly cook up a batch of the halibut, someone could bring a smoker/cooker for smoked salmon, tuna, birds. i'm planning on at least a week for the camp. and am trying for a wednsday thru the second sunday, 12 days, but, that might be streching my wifes happiness a little far. after taking the month of october off for deer and elk.
