I have 2 Penn Jig Masters that I bought back in the early 60's. I still use them for Sturgeon and for plunking. The good points of the Jig Master is casting and quick spool changes. The bad point is that the plastic spools will spread if you dont put some type of soft backing ( I use cotton string) to act as a cushion for the line. I am using the metal spool now with 80 lb tuff line. It holds 350 yds plus about 100 yds of 40 lb mono for backing. When you use one, just remember that there is no level wind on it, you have to use your thumbs. I would never think of getting rid of mine. Good Luck
