Default Where to go?

Hello all! A friend and I don't get a lot of time to fish lately since we both have very young familys with kids under a year. They aren't quite ready to fish with us yet! But anyhow I am somewhat new to the north coast. I am used to fishing southern Oregon coastal rivers such as the Coquille, Millacoma, Umpqua, Elk, Sixes, Rogue and Chetco to name a few. But that was a few years back when I was in my 20's & 30's and I am in my 40's now living in Portland now. We have somehow managed to squeeze our wives out of this coming saturday and we need some help choosing a coastal river with conditions that will be a good bet for success in getting into some chromer action. PLEASE HELP lead these 2 old horses to some decent water! Any help will be greatly appriciated and we will be sure to post any success stories here on ifish. We are thinking of mainly floats and jigs but are not opposed to traditional drift fishing either. By the way, congrats to all of you for being such a great bunch! Hope 2 hear from you soon, Ron.

Hope you're getting a lot of private messages, Banknit. I could give you some ideas for the metro rivers but don't know the coastal rivers much.

Ya, I just checked The forecast. Don't lookk good! :depressed: But ya never know! I'll hope for the best. A lot of coastal streams I used to fish were clearing up and fishable within 1-3 hrs. N fork Coquille is one example for 1 hour. My bud in Reedsport is poutin now cuz the Umpqua is blown out and he's bored now so I guess I my just stay home and do honeydews. Anyhow I'll take what I can get ampersat! If ya have suggestions for local spots I will appriciate that too! We'll talk later, Ron rrcrave@msn.com
