Birth Announcement! Puppies! Lots of Pics!

I was up late working last night and little before 1:00 AM I wa preparing to call it a night. I had suspected that Maggie's water broke earlier in the day and, since it was well after midnight, I figured she woudl have shown me the courtesy to wait until well into the morning to start dropping pups. As I made one more pass through the house, I checked on her once more....there she was at 1:01 AM cleaning the first of six puppies. She kept me up for this process until about 4:45. At that time, I figured she'd done this four times now, if she's got more, she knows what to do. So off to bed I went. I woke up to two additional puppies. Everyone is healthy, strong and resting comfortably in the whelping pool (courtesy of Boatdog). 3 Boys and 3 girls.

Beautiful pups and mama. I love labs. We have two of our own and they are such a big part of our family. Maybe you could update us with pics as they grow?

nice looking pups. six is a good number, we had 10 last year.
it was fun when they did a jail break in the middle of the night. 2 dogs and 10 pups runamuck and playing at 2 am in my small house

Adorable family you have there! Absolutely love labs. We sure are loving our new one. I may consider getting a female in the near future ...but too soon right now. They are sooo cute!!

LOL! Boring. Quite a ways from the Kilches. Actually, if you wait a couple weeks, mama will be more inclined to let people hold them. She even gets mad at me right now just for moving them when changing their bedding.
