estate sale - score

Just stopped at an estate sale on a whim at lunch time. There was 2 boxes of trolling gear containing at least 100 trout type trolling rigs (mostly ford fenders, beer can, school of minnows, ben davis etc etc.) The man wanted $10 for all of them. Some days the sun shines on me.

Now you need to change your moniker to Blades'N Eggs? When my father-in-law passed away a few years ago I inherited a big tackle box of all kinds of old fashioned trout lures I haven't used yet. And more significant a couple old classic bamboo flyrods to add to my Dad's old ones he doesn't use. I'm a procrastinator (partly why my book will come out later than expected) and haven't gotten them appraised as possible collector items yet. Any suggestions where best to have this done? I won't allow what happened to him several years ago. He had a mint condition Winchester riffle (the kind with the rapid cocked handle by the trigger you see in the old western movies), still in it's original box! He took it to the nearest gun shop and the guy fleeced him out of it for $300. I figure it could have been worth 10 times that amount? Anyone know, just curious. - Steve
