Default Anyone using Teeny Nymphs?

I've started fishing with them towards the end of last year, especially a Teeny Leech. I can't wait to use them in the lakes for trout this spring.

I just like them because they are easy to tie and if I loose one, it's no big deal.

What are y'all's opinion?

Teeny has a video on how to tie them -

http://www.jimteeny.com/tripsTips/tyingNymphs.html

It's all tied with Pheasant tail - The Tail, Body, and Legs.

I just added a little flash for attraction to the tail.

you can also put some flash in the butt section

i have cuaght many fish on egg sucking teeny leech patterns - just tie up a teeny leech, tie a little tuft of white marabou, then a chenille egg for the head.

so simple a fly but very effective. I use them on trout on the big D with success. I want to try them on east lake this summer for browns, thats were jim teeny invented the fly back in the 70's.

Haven't used them in years but they definitely do catch fish. The Teeny nymph hooks are sold separately and are an excellent hook. I like the gap to shank length ratio and the heavy wire.

Back in the early 80's I caught tons of trout on them in Lake Washington of all places!!!

Imagine catching trout on flies in that huge lake!!!

I saw a winter steelhead taken on the Eagle Creek (that's the one that flows into the Clackamas) on a Teeny Nymph that was purple on the body, and pink at the head in January. Jim Teeny knows what he is doing.
