Default Ranch Capable Craft ?

..ok, I layed off the flat water posts for a few convention days...this one is capable of a run to the Chicken ranch, where I live anyway..1/2 mile paddle to the nearest eatery...ha.

Those Old Towns are very seaworthy. My starts first pull and is good for 3 knots with one paddler, a bit more with two.

Took a 1 week trip down the McKenzie and Willamette in the cedar strip canoe my wife and I built. I think we passed a few ranches on the way. My 6 year old daughter likes the bigger boat better than the tippy boat.

Right now after all of the conversation over a 19 ft arima, I think the canoe may be the best thing going. Save fuel- no engine maintance, no arguement over fuel usage in any water conditions,no electronics, just need a survival suit and good life jacket with a good paddle, go for it.
