'Twas another frosty morning when Jimmy, Casey, Dad and I met up for another day goosin. We are all feeling it hard. The pressure is on. It's the fourth quarter right now and time is a dwindling. The waterfowling offseason is looming over us and staring us dead in the eye.....we need to get our licks in every opportunity that arises .
This was the setup, sun at our backs (but not the wind), and a skinny (but very concealed) fencerow hide.
The typical morning(7:00) flight wanted into the feild, but not our exact location. We watched them pilin' in and took turns walking 'em off...but it hardly worked. They just kept on coming to the middle.
After scratching out a few, we rearranged the dekes for the next flight (around 10:00). This time it all worked out just as we expected.
They started in on us high, but they swung...
and they swung...
and they swung right into the spread...
and we got to see a ton of these right up in our face...
At the end of the morning, we managed a respectable bag and were able to hold off that feeling

for just one more weekend. We've been fortunate enough to team up for some really exciting hunts in the last couple weeks.
Hope you enjoy the pics as we all wait for our last chance this upcoming weekend. Again...great scouting Jimmy. As always, it pays to get out during the week. You done did it. Can't wait to be there again in a few days.
Work on 'em boys!
