Default BowTech?

I was wondering if anyone could tell me about BowTech bows? I was thinking about a new bow this year & can't decide between the Switchback, Trykon, or BowTech? I looked into the Mathews, & Hoyt but don't know about BT or which models are best.
Any info greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Awesome bows. I have the allegiance and it sure is nice. try the tribute and the allegiance. Either is a good choice. Actually all that you mentioned are good bows. I'm just a little partial to bowtech. Faster than the others and just as accurate in my hands. I'd shoot them all and see what feels the best to you.

Very good bows. I have 3 including an 06 allegiance. They are an Oregon company and they are great to work with if you have problems of any kind.

The most important thing is to get a bow that fits you and that you shoot well. If that turns out to be a Bowtech, you will be buying a really good bow.

Was BowTech once known as Blue Mountain Bows?

fergy,

I have been looking at various bows for a few months and the Bowtech Tribute is what I am leaning towards. The Allegiance is faster and an inch or two longer, but has a shorter brace height. I like how the Tribute feels and I think that is a big part of shooting a bow. Tribute and Allegiance are both Binary Cam bows and are the top of the line for Bowtech.

$699 for a Tribute at the sports warehouse.

Gottafish, I looked at the Swithback XT's and they are more money. Where do you find them for less? It may have been in how the bow was set up, but the Switchback seemed to load up right away on the draw.

Load up on the draw has to due a lot with the let off. and draw length. personaly I like that solid feel. I makes for a smother shot and its quieter. that dosent mean much out west here. our big game animals are dumb compeared to a pubilc land whitetail from back east. Shoot both side by side and you will see the difference. Also I said CLOSE to the same money. Yes there a little bit more but how often do you lay that kind of money out there.. I have shot every bowtec bow that has come out as well as every mathews. and most are a wash but the switchbacks are a different animal. In fact I don't own one and probley never own one. Why Personal reason. But I'll share. After spending a day with one I was suprized at how well I could shoot, made my featermax look like a clunky bear whitetail. It IMHO wasn't a bow anymore it was a rifle that was leagle to use in bow season. Now I shoot a recurve. That darn bow ruined me!!!

Well I finally got to shoot both & I must say that the BowTech is way fast but I can't believe how smooth & dead in the hand the Switchback is to shoot. Not to mention how quiet it is. I have made up my mind, Switchback by a landslide. Found them for 690.00 but had to order one. (lefty) Should be here any time.

The switchback is imho is the best bow made to date fast zero hand shock and a smooth draw and a tack driver.Go shoot one and then shoot the bow techs and you will see what I mean.

Hi Radke,

I'm no expert but I believe the XT is shorter & has a new cam. Supposed to be really sweet.
The LD has a longer brace height, (more forgiving) but slower than the other two.

Regards
Brian

Hey save some money and go buy a Ross if you can find one. Just ask River Rat if he likes his. Just my .02 but best bow I have shot. Fit me like a glove. That said the bow that fits you is the one you should go with. Good luck and aim small.

I read some where that the ross line is mathews proto line that they didn't use for some reason or another. So it should be a good bow I just haven't put my hand on one.

I'm a little wary of new things that have not had a chance to stand the test of time. Take Blue Mountain for example. Great bows they just weren't around very long to honor their warranties. Maybe Ross will be the next big thing but I think I'll just wait & see what happens first.

Bowtech is fast, smooth and quiet! I shoot a BT "pro38-low brace ht",70#,29"draw,368 grn arrow @ 294fps. This is a 5 year old bow. The new one shoots about 310fps @ 68 lbs. the best part is how they feel, no hand shock. The best shop I know about for a Bowtech is Kutch Archery in Yamhill. They have all you need to have a good time shooting (indoor range,40 target 3D range and 100yrds target range.)
