Friday evening convention plans?
What are the plans for friday evening? Wife and I will be down Friday night after a brief stop in Lincoln City for some outlet type shopping..
Dinner with a few close friends? Dinner with the wife and a nice quiet evening?

Hey Dylan, I hope you're talking about the Rogue pub on the NORTH side of the bay, the food is better there. The beer is good at both.

Re: Friday evening convention plans?
Ron,
Thanks for the headsup.
BTW. For those who are interested in trying out the famous KOBE meat, Rogue serves KOBE beef, they have a KOBE burger which is absolutely good! Its a few bucks more vs the regular angus beef burger, very juicy and tender!

Re: Friday evening convention plans?
What I had in mind was a small gathering over a good dinner possibly at the bayside rogue or another waterfront place, but IF Bruce wants to share his beef Im soooo there. Nah I'll let Julie have him all to herself with no cows and no manure

I don't know about the others, but you are safe if you follow my lead. Well yes I do know about some of the others , and you are still safe if you are in the right company. I have heard that some people might even drink beer down there.

Re: Friday evening convention plans?
it almost confirmed. I should be over there around 6-630pm with my two ladies in tow. All I need now is for Ray to tell me we have a place to sleep
So its dinner at the rogue on the bay? Uh do they have vegetarian stuff or at least fresh fish? ( try as hard as I did they are both veggies now!)

Re: Friday evening convention plans?
My Friday evening conventions plans may involve a meal at Silverton Hospital, waiting for my youngest son to recover from apendicitis (sp) surgery. Vickie brought him to the ER this morning..........it's not looking good.

Re: Friday evening convention plans?
I am glad they got to it. I hope all goes well.
Far better to get this done here than to have it turn up 70 miles out. Tell him we'll take him fishing later this Summer. Maybe that will cheer him up. I have 3 live bait tanks and a handfull of new tricks . I hope you are still able to make it and I wish your son the VERY best.

Re: Friday evening convention plans?
Vickie's the best wife a guy could hope for. I told her that we would just cancel our plans for the weekend and spend it taking care of Danny. She said, "No, you go. I wouldn't want you to miss this for anything". We'll see how it goes. I may make it tommorrow sometime.

Re: Friday evening convention plans?
Just got back from the hospital. His appendix ruptured while he was in the ER and they rushed him into surgery before I could get there. Of course, Vickie was there. He's on IV antibiotics, morphine and demerol. He will have a 3-5 day hospital stay, but he'll be fine.
He demanded that Vickie and I stick with our plans this weekend. What a great kid. Vickie is staying in town. I might still come over. I'll make the call in the morning.
