Default Tillamook wind gusts hit 90 mph; lights go out

Isn't this a hurricane in Florida? So how is it there today?? I love a good storm but that is a bit extreme.

Oregon does not have Hurricanes, We callem a
"Little Norwester Storm."
these storms very seldom have a back storm following an eye or calm period.
Our Norwesters just plow their way thru everything and leave big trees lying on the ground. A few roofs and anything else they don't like in the way.
Gotta love Oregon!

Actually, they are called the "Pineapple Express". Originating near Hawaii and depending upon the jet stream, Oregon and Washington are often the target....Just be happy you don't live in Juneau, Alaska....that city gets more rain/snow/fog than we do...
