Default Washington halibut openings( inside)

A PSA chapter member just put this out on the mail,
Halibut openings in area (6) from Low Point to Port Townsend which include Crescent bay, Freshwater bay, Port Angeles, Ediz hook, and Sequim. Opens April 9th Thursday to Monday.
Area (5) Sekiu, Slip Point, Pillar Point to Low Point Opens May 25th to Aug 5th.
Finalization of the dates will be forth coming but they don't think they'll change much.
Last year they opened early like this and we did VERY WELL

4'-6' is still better than 9-5!!
If it doesn't have a bill...it's just bait!!

Thanks for the info. Not to hijack your post, but can anyone give me the GPS coordinates for the garbage hole out of Neah Bay? I only get to go to Neah Bay once a year so I need all the help I can get.

Thanks,
JB

I have the GPS # you want but it will take a day or two to get to my boat and PM them to you. If you do not hear from me by Tues. send a gentle reminder. We did ok on halibut there but last year we picked up over 200 true cod. (6 fishing in 2 boats).

DownTime, Here's the GPS #'s for the dump at Neah Bay
(North)48-23-49
(West)124-38-06
Don't worry about finding that one, just look for the boats.
Good luck

Thanks BD and E-D. I have a fishing buddy that just got a salty boat after being boatless for several years and he wants to try the Neah Bay area after we do a shakedown cruise or two. My boat is a jet so it doesn't see too much salt.

These opening are not yet approved and are being presented to the PFMC. They will probably be right tho.
