Default Double ender boats; anyone ever ride in one?

Any one have any experience with them? I've heard that they are supposed to ride great in a following sea.

You might want to check out this thread from last week:

Bartender Boats

"Scandahoovians" have gotten around pretty well in the double-enders they've been building for the last 1200 years or so.

Thanks. With the title "Bartender Boats" I never bothered to read it. There was one for sale out of Morro Bay last summer.

Some of my first trips across the Col. R bar were in a 26 foot wooden double ender. Although I was probably 10 - 15 during the time I fished on this boat, I can remember how well it handled some rough water. Caught my first keeper sturgeon just off Toung point in that boat.
