Hehe, well kinda, sorta!
This is actually a recently made repro of an 1887 Winchester shotgun (Model 1887), which was John Browning's 1st repeating shotgun design and also Winchester's 1st repeating shotgun offering (until J.M. Browning designed the much more successful and popular 1897 pump gun for them

)
This was right after John Browning and Winchester came off of Browning's 2nd rifle effort for Winchester the very popular 1886 lever action which could use much more powerful blackpowder cartridges than any other repeating rifle of the time had ever been able to, like .45-90s and .50-110.
So with Winchester's popularity with lever action rifles, then why not a lever action shotgun?!!
Originally these 1887 Winchesters were made in 12 ga. and also 10 ga.
In 1901 Winchester brought out an improved model, the Model 1901, but it was only available in 10 ga.
I guess shooters found out, rather quickly, that using a lever action design on a shotgun wasn't as effective as a slide action, and most of the repeating shotguns, made from then on were pumps.
But this one is for play and fun and only has a 20" barrel for close-in targets. But it does have choke tubes, something the originals didn't have.
