Post College Nightmares
I didn't want to hijack to "college degrees you have earned" thread, so I thought I'd ask here.
After graduating college, I've had several nightmares about it. Mostly having to do with enrolling for a class, and forgetting to ever show up. Then being totally unprepared for the final exam, realizing that without passing that class I wouldn't graduate.
My wife, step sister, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, mother, and father all have said they have similar (almost exactly the same) nightmares as I just described.
Do any of you have that same nightmare? Or do you have another one about college you'd like to share? What's the deal with those anyway?

Wow, I have had the same dream too! Another one I have (18 years later) is showing up to a final naked or in my underwear. What's with that?

Same here. Skipped or didn't show up until the end of the quarter. Have had the dream more than once.

Re: Post College Nightmares
My bad college dream was that I finally graduated, 12 years after I finished high school, and no one cared! At least it was a dream, though. When my friend graduated, her family really didn't care. To this day, they still don't know what her degree is in.

Re: Post College Nightmares
I get those dreams every so often. It is always as you describe, skip a class all semester, or something that keeps me from graduating and its always college, never High School. I graduated from UofO 11 years ago and you would think it would stop. Sounds like it won't. Last night was the most recent. I was studying furiously trying to pass that last test of the last class before I graduated. In my dream I am always thinking about how it will screw everything up coming back for one more semester.

Re: Post College Nightmares
Same dream, but in mine, I don't find out until seeing grades posted after the last semester and discover that I am two credts shy of my degree. Good thing it is only a nightmare

Re: Post College Nightmares
I never had that dream. Mine were more of the variety of going on an all night bender, waking up and trying to figure out where I was!
I can't say that I was all that nervous when it came time to finish my last quarter. I had laid the groundwork for this moment for the past three and a half years and I knew I just needed to keep doing the basics, like showing up for class and doing the necessary homework and studying, and I would pass my classes and graduate. Plus, I had planned for this last quarter to be my easiest one in college (kind of like Matt Leinart taking ballroom dancing this fall) and so I didn't have any "tough" classes.
My only regret was graduating on time! I left just when it was getting good!
